My interest in flowers started as a child helping in my grandparent's garden, sitting under willow trees, and running through their orchard field. I would harvest fresh tomatoes off the vine and pick delicate sweet peas growing on the side of the green house. I have a passion for the outdoors and creating work that reflects the natural environment. I like to emphasize romantic, wild, organic forms while letting the botanicals do most of the talking.
I stay inspired by continuing my education at University of Washington’s Center for Urban Horticulture. Gardening is a great passion of mine. While living in New York I took horticulture classes at New York Botanical Garden and worked at a neighborhood nursery and flower shop. In my designs, I strive to use seasonal, local and organically grown product as much as possible. I love the emotions florals imprint on people and enjoy connecting my community with florals.
My husband and I live in West Seattle, Washington and I finally have my very own garden. While not at home, we love to travel and spend our weekends in the mountains. I am currently for hire as a freelance designer in Seattle and available for collaborations and travel.
